Contest time! I mean what better time? A new game (releasing March 2, NA. March 4, EU.) And soon a new server for Fraggot Gaming.
The Contest
The contest is to name the 16-slot BF:BC2 server for Fraggot Gaming. Be Funny, be outrageous, be fabulous, just don't be rude. Rude or obscene entries will not be accepted.
The contest will run from now until March 5th. At which point 25 entries will be randomly selected. Those 25 entries will be posted to the forum for voting by the community. After 3 days the entry with the most votes is the winner! In the event of a tie, a 48hr tie breaker vote will commence.
The Prize
- A copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for PC (Through Steam, unless specifically requested otherwise)

I can't really believe this is our first post (in a really long time) about Battlefield: Bad Company 2. It surely won't be our last.
Yesterday DiCE and EA released a video walkthrough of some of the features specific to the the PC version. Some of them include: unlocked frame rates, customizable FOV (within a range), and some DX11 graphic enhancements. View the video below for more details.
The game releases March 2nd in North America. March 4th in Europe.

Curses! The match has been postponed to the 13'th at the same time, 8:00pm EST.
There was a quick and unofficial match yesterday with some curious outsiders joining in for the fun. We hope to see more there in the weekend after the superbowl.

Just in case you're not aware, Valve has started a little 'friendly competition.' Seems The Administrator came across some unacceptable information. Information that the Red Demo and Blue Soldier had become friends.
This is another dual update... with a slight twist.
At the end of the week when everything is all said and done, and all the other weapons and additions are announced. The class with the most kills of the other get's an exclusive new weapon.
You can view the respecitive kill counts at the Demoman and Soldier update pages.
As if this all wasn't enough, Valve has thrown in a Propoganda Contest. Submitting a propoganda poster enters you in the contest. The winner of which receive and exclusive, one-of-a-kind, hat named after them.
I myself haven't played TF2 in a long time, but this has started to reinvigorate my urge to hop on and help my fellow Soldiers out. Which class are you rooting for?

Star Trek Online is set to release on February 2nd. 54 days from now. It is in closed beta currently, and will move to open beta by January 12th. Preorder now to gain access to the open beta, as well as other in game perks.

This is something impromptu for shits and giggles.
From now until Sunday night, the rotation on the US Fraggot Gaming server contains only King of the Hill maps. 10 total.
Make sure to visit the custom maps download page so you don't have to download each map.

I sure hope so. 
It's been a loooong month+ of the server having sparse/sporadic uptime. A lot of time has been spent disabling/reenabling/reinstalling various mods and configs to no avail. But hopefully all that is fixed now. Hopefully.
I'll be monitoring the server for the next few days to make sure it doesn't revert to it's oldish ways but I have hope that it will be business as usual so we can get back to making the server an awesome place to play.
With that we have some new and not so new custom maps loaded on the server.
Also keep an eye out for some TF2 events on the horizon. |

Take a look at the video after the jump if you haven't seen it already. Drops a little info on the ability to customize your kill streaks and looks like there are quite a few different options. The one showcased in this video is the AC130.
I know what I will be sinking major time into come 11.10.09 Hopefully we'll get a few Fraggots on board as well!
